Labradorite and PMC silver earrings

I had a bit of a challenge trying to set the bezel in the textured pmc ..I ended up using silver solder paste . Next step is to solder  backings to the earrings .I love Labradorite it has a luminescent blue flash sometimes the gemstone has veins that run through it and adds to it's character .

This necklace makes an outfit, I wear my necklace with everything It's simple and colourful. Not everyone can tell what it is and I can see them trying to figure it out, they stare at my necklace with great intensity . This necklace will be posted on etsy this week .Come and shop in my etsy store.

metalsmithing, motherhood and homeschooling !

Today was a day of sunshine, chalk and kids ....I started my day out with the usual routine I exercised to my dvds then went for a 4k run .Got home made a smoothie and sat down with Gabriel outside and listened to him read aloud for a half hour .....This is when I started to cultivate the farmers tan !!!! Dang so I ran inside after and had a quick shower and out came my lovely metalicus tube top that I love , love, love !!!For the rest of the day I tried to think of wonderful fun things to write in my blog ... Well this was it for today :)

Pearls

Pearls are not your best friend but rather your closest sister.  I've read that Cleopatra dissolved a pearl in wine and drank it simply to win a bet with  Anthony that she could consume the wealth of an entire nation in just one meal. Men would wear them while battling for fighting mojo, at one point Royalty could only wear them now anyone can wear them and they are affordable .The beauty of the pearl is so simple it does not need to be polished or cut .. okay well it does need to be strung !
